At Arab Model Schools, we believe in empowering students to become global citizens who think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate to solve complex global issues. To achieve this, we launched Arab Model United Nations (AMUN) in 2014, providing students with an unparalleled platform to hone their leadership, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills.
Arab Model United Nations (AMUN) is a student-led simulation of the United Nations, where participants represent different countries and work together to address real-world issues. Through AMUN, students engage in debates, draft resolutions, and negotiate solutions to global challenges, all while embodying the values of diplomacy, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
AMUN is more than just an event; it is a transformative experience that aligns with our school's mission to prepare students to lead, pioneer, and contribute to society. The program fosters critical skills such as:
Public Speaking and Debate: Students learn to articulate their ideas confidently and persuasively.
Research and Analysis: Participants delve into global issues, understanding their historical, political, and social contexts.
Teamwork and Negotiation: Delegates collaborate to reach consensus, mirroring real-world diplomatic efforts.
Leadership Development: Students take on leadership roles, such as chairpersons or secretariat members, gaining firsthand experience in managing large-scale events.
